national information system providing educators, researchers, and the general public
with access to education literature and resources. ERIC is the world’s largest and most
frequently used education digital library with more than 1.3 million bibliographic records,
beginning in 1966. It has information about elevating teaching, early learning, engaging
students, unlocking career success, ESSA, cybersecurity, education statistics, and the
nation’s report card, among many other offerings.
The State Library Resource Center (https://www.slrc.info/research/databases) or
SLRC provides a collection of research database to Maryland’s public libraries and K-12
public schools ensuring that all Marylanders have access to a core collection of
research databases. Most schools have a direct link that is unique to that school on
their media center webpages. One component, the Educator’s Reference Complete, is
very similar to ERIC in that is has many full-length articles from Education Journals that
can be searched by title, date, etc. Funding for SLRC is provided by the State of
Maryland.
The mission of Education.com (https://www.education.com) is to nurture each child’s
passion, curiosity, optimism, and educational success through its digital resources,
tools, and learning materials which are developed by educational experts to incorporate
leading pedagogical practices. Among its educational resources is the Learning Library
which provides education resources designed to keep teachers and students excited
about learning. It features professionally designed lesson plans that include activities to
help solidify student comprehension. There also are in-depth guided lessons that
provide a deep look at various subjects such as blending sounds or understanding
decimals. The Learning Library also provides skills-based games, science project
activities, song videos, and interactive books.
#EduMatch (https://www.edumatch.org/edumatch-foundation) stated mission is to serve
