Understanding by Design Summer Conference, June 26-28, 2018
Join me for an exciting 3 days of learning! Explore the newest ideas around the acclaimed UbD curriculum framework at this in-depth, “design” workshop. For more information and registration, go to: On a parallel track, I have been working with Eduplanet21 on a series of on-line course modules on UbD, known as Learning Paths. The first of these is now available, and it provides a thorough introduction to the key ideas of UbD along with design tools to guide teachers in applying the 3 stage “backward design” process for unit planning. This professional learning course can be used: 1) for and introduction to Understanding by Design, and 2) as a supportive “refresher” for current users. The Council of Educational Administrative and Supervisory Organizations of Maryland was founded in 1971. The organization is comprised of seventeen organizations focusing on the areas of educational administration and supervision, professional development, and best practices for successful schools.  Educational information is shared throughout the year.
